The characteristics are determined by manufacturers during jerk tests. A load weighing 200–250 kg is suddenly dropped onto a plumbing product, imitating the behavior of a person suddenly jumping onto it.

Chinese manufacturers provide a snatch load of about 100 – 120 kg. This is dangerous for users weighing over 90 kg, since the bowl of the sanitary ware may fall off during normal operation.
