*Review of the best according to the editors of expertology.ru. About the selection criteria. This material is subjective in nature, does not constitute advertising and does not serve as a purchase guide. Before purchasing, consultation with a specialist is required.

Despite the fact that modern smartphones with their huge touch screens have pretty much squeezed out the market for tablet computers in recent years (in order not to be confused with graphic tablets for designers, we will simply call them tablets), the latter remain firmly in their niche and are not going to disappear anywhere. And a separate sub-niche in this area is inexpensive tablets. Some people buy such a gadget for a child, reasonably fearing that it will be broken in the shortest possible time, while for others a budget tablet is enough for themselves. Today’s rating review from Expertology is dedicated to just such solutions – the most inexpensive, but comfortable tablets to use. Our experts have identified several categories that present the most worthy budget solutions on the Russian market.

Alcatel Pixi 4 7.0

The TOP of tablets costing up to 5,000 rubles continues with the wonderful device Alcatel Pixi 4. A neat body, a good 7-inch screen with a resolution of 1024×600, as well as convenient on-screen controls. It is impossible not to note the excellent multi-touch, which supports up to 5 touches. The new version of Android OS 6.0, which is perfectly optimized for economical energy consumption, works very well. In addition, the gadget can work in phone mode, since it is equipped with a slot for one SIM card. Thanks to support for the 3G communication standard, Internet access will accompany you wherever you are.

  • A-GPS support
  • cameras 2 and 0.3 MP
  • battery 2580 mAh
  • Read SD cards up to 32 GB

Not only is this reliable tablet built with high quality, it has mediocre technical parameters. 1 GB RAM and a MediaTek MT8321 processor with 4 cores with a frequency of 1300 MHz guarantee good performance, which allows you to easily use the most necessary applications and even some games. Also convenient is the presence of 8 GB of internal memory, of which about 4 GB is available, enough to store various files and install applications.

The best tablets under 5000 rubles with the best screens

There is a whole list of important criteria when choosing a tablet, and one of the most important is the screen characteristics. Here we include its size, matrix type and resolution. Our experts were guided by the optimal combination of these criteria when choosing options worthy of attention.

Prestigio Wize PMT3161C 3G

Rating: 4.8

The rating opens with a fairly powerful tablet with a large diagonal from the Prestigio brand. This is a slightly “partisan” brand, since it belongs to the ASBIS holding, whose headquarters are located in Limassol, Cyprus, and the holding itself belongs to our compatriot Sergei Kostevich. This is such a complex combination, which, nevertheless, is quite common for well-known brands of household appliances and electronics on the Russian market. And experience shows that such examples are often very effective. Prestigio is just one such example. The model is quite new, announced only last year 2021.

The tablet screen size is 10.1″, the overall dimensions of the device are 242x172x10 mm, weight is 540 g. The case is made of plastic, only one color is offered - black. The design is classic.

Screen resolution - 1280x800, widescreen. Matrix type – IPS with characteristic maximum viewing angles of 178 degrees. The coating is glossy, the screen, of course, is touch-sensitive, capacitive with multi-touch support.

The tablet is built on a 4-core MediaTek MT8321 central processor with a core frequency of 1.3 GHz. There is 1GB of RAM, 8GB of built-in memory. Expansion potential due to external flash memory is another plus up to 32GB. The standard operating system is Android 7.0.

For wireless communication, the tablet is equipped with Wi-Fi modules of the 802.11n standard and Bluetooth generation 4.0. The tablet can also be used for GSM communication, like a “big smartphone”. For this, there is a separate radio module with a slot for a SIM card with 3G support.

The multimedia capabilities of the tablet of this model are literally basic - for such a price you can’t expect top-end cameras. There is a rear camera with a resolution of 2 megapixels, a front camera with a resolution of 0.3 megapixels. There are also good standard speakers, a microphone and an FM tuner.

You can also connect to the tablet via the micro-USB interface. The same connector is used for charging. Battery capacity 5000 mAh. There is also a standard headset output.

The package is extremely laconic - tablet, network adapter, USB cable, documentation.

Advantages

  • high-quality image;
  • a high resolution;
  • large diagonal;
  • strong body;
  • capacious battery.

Flaws

  • quiet sound.

Prestigio Wize PMT3131C 3G

Rating: 4.7

Now, in the second position of the rating, we will consider a model that is almost completely identical to the previous one with microscopic differences, from the same manufacturer, but for inexplicable reasons, much cheaper. Most likely, “naked” marketing and the effect of novelty worked here. This model came out earlier than the previous one.

So, the technical characteristics here can not be described, but presented in “blitz” mode, since most of them completely repeat the tablet described above. Screen size – 10.1″, resolution – 1280×800, matrix type – IPS, multi-touch. Processor - MediaTek MT8321 with a frequency of 4 cores at 1.3 GHz. Memory – 1GB RAM and 8GB built-in; Expandable by external flash drives by another 32GB. Communications: Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.0, GSM (including 3G), micro-USB. Rear camera – 2 megapixels, front – 0.3 megapixels, speakers, FM tuner, standard 3.5 mm audio output. Battery capacity – 5000 mAh.

This tablet has a slight difference in size, and it is even lighter than the previous one - 470g. What’s important is that it supports two SIM cards for GSM communication, while the one described above supports only one. And one more thing - the version of Android here is older - 6.0.

Advantages

  • high-quality assembly;
  • soft-touch coating;
  • responsive multi-touch;
  • capacious battery;
  • rich colors and large viewing angles.

Flaws

  • For such a price, it is difficult to detect objective shortcomings.

Digma Plane 8550S 4G

Rating: 4.6

The category of the rating of tablets under 5,000 rubles with the best screens is completed by a model of the Digma brand, owned by Nippon Klick Corporation (Hong Kong). This is a good option for those who need a smaller tablet, but not at the expense of screen resolution. This model was announced last year 2021.

So, the most noticeable thing about this model is the smaller screen size. It is 8″, and the resolution is the same as the two previous solutions - 1280x800. That is, it is easy to understand that the pixel density will be higher and the image, accordingly, will be sharper. Combined with IPS technology, all this gives an impeccable picture.

The electronics parameters of this model are similar to the previous two options, but not quite. If the memory configuration here is exactly the same - 1 and 8 GB of RAM and built-in, respectively, then the processor is different - Spreadtrum SC9832. True, the key parameters of the processor are the same - 4 cores at a frequency of up to 1.3 GHz each. External memory is also supported by a separate slot; the system “sees” up to 32GB of external flash card.

The wireless configuration here is exactly the same as the previous model, but with one powerful advantage. There are wireless modules Wi-Fi standard 802.11n and Bluetooth generation 4.0. There are also two slots for GSM SIM cards with 3G support and, attention! – 4G LTG is something that the two previous tablets do not have. The operating system here is the newest of the three devices in this rating category - Android 8.1.

With multimedia, the situation here is exactly the same as in the two previous tablets: rear camera (with flash) - 2 megapixels, front - 0.3 megapixels, speakers, microphone. There is an accelerometer and automatic screen orientation.

The wired interfaces of this model are as laconic as those of the two described above - a micro-USB connector and a standard 3.5 mm headset output.

The battery in this model has a smaller capacity than the other two, but not by much - 4000 mAh, and given the smaller size and lower power consumption, this does not affect autonomy in any way.

Device dimensions – 208.4×123.6×10.6 mm, weight – 320 g. Made in a classic design from durable plastic.

Advantages

  • a high resolution;
  • high-quality image;
  • good autonomy;
  • fresh Android 8.1 Oreo;
  • a clean operating system without imposed software;
  • two SIM cards;
  • 4G support.

Flaws

  • point defects in the assembly;
  • weak flash.

The best tablets under 5000 rubles with the best cameras

Now, in the ranking of the best tablets under 5,000 rubles according to Expertology, we move on to those models that buyers value for cameras with good resolution. Tablets are very often used by users to capture the bright moments of life, and the large diagonal even allows you to immediately carry out simple photo editing and instantly send the result to Instagram, Facebook or anywhere.

However, with such a budget - up to 5,000 rubles - you cannot count on a powerful camera, say 12-13 Megapixels, not to mention a double one. It is necessary that, in addition to the camera, everything else in the tablet is not a one-time inoperable misunderstanding. If you maintain this balance, with a goal of staying within 5 thousand rubles, you can count on a main camera with a resolution of up to 5 megapixels. These are the two models our experts have chosen for you.

Irbis TZ874

Rating: 4.7

The first in a couple of tablets in this rating category we will consider a model from the Irbis brand. This is a Russian brand that belongs to the Treolan company, which, in turn, is part of the LANIT group of companies - one of the largest players in the domestic IT market. This model was announced in 2021.

In many ways, this tablet is similar to the model from the previous group, Digma Plane 8550S. Firstly, the screen diagonal is 8″. Secondly, the resolution is quite good in this class - 1280x800 (IPS matrix with good angles, glossy finish, multi-touch). Thirdly, the type and power of the processor - 4-core Spreadtrum SC9832 with a frequency of up to 1.3 GHz. Fourthly, the memory configuration: 1GB RAM, 8GB built-in, expansion slot for flash cards up to 32GB.

Communication is also the same - support for Wi-Fi standard 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.0. The tablet can also be used as a mobile phone - there are two slots for SIM cards, 3G and LTE are supported. Importantly, this model also contains a GPS satellite navigation module with A-GPS cold start support.

As for the topic of the nomination, the rear camera here is 5 megapixels with flash, the front one is 2 megapixels. The remaining multimedia elements are built-in speakers and microphone, standard FM tuner. For those who care about the type of graphics processor, the Mali-400 MP is installed here. As for the operating system, this tablet has Android 7.0, which was current at the time of release.

The autonomy of the tablet is slightly lower than that of the previous model due to a slightly less capacious battery - 3800 mAh. It can also be charged via USB.

Dimensions of the tablet - 208x123x9.8 mm, weight - 340 g. Made of good plastic, standard, classic design.

Advantages

  • a high resolution;
  • high-quality image;
  • relatively powerful cameras for this class of devices;
  • 3G LTE support;
  • GPS navigation.

Flaws

  • assembly flaws.

Prestigio Wize PMT3618 4G

Rating: 4.5

And again in our rating we return to the Prestigio brand. Let's look at one interesting, slightly controversial, but worthy model. Its ambiguity lies in the fact that immediately after its release the tablet received a barrage of criticism for its intrusive pre-installed software, which also behaved inappropriately. In the future, and the reviews of recent years have already been mostly positive. Therefore, when purchasing, strictly inquire about this issue at the point of sale.

In terms of the screen, this model is no different from the previous one - the same 8 inches, the same 1280x800 resolution, the same IPS technology. Pixel density - 189 PPI. The camera configuration is the same as that of the tablet described above: 5 megapixels on the rear and 2 megapixels on the front. The remaining multimedia elements are similar - audio output, microphone, speakers, radio.

The electronics are built on a MediaTek MT8735 processor with 4 cores and a frequency of 1.1 GHz. That is, the processor is slightly weaker, but the built-in memory is twice as large - 16GB. The RAM is the same - 1GB. You can expand the memory using microSDXC by twice the resource than any of the tablets described above - up to 64GB.

The wireless configuration is similar - Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.0, two SIM cards for GSM communication with support for 3G and LTE. There is a GPS satellite positioning module. Wired connection - micro-USB with charging capability.

The battery in this model is noticeably more capacious than the previous one - 4200 mAh. The overall dimensions of the tablet are 206x122.8x10 mm, net weight is 356 g. The case is plastic, classic design.

Some users don't like the "ancient" Android version 6.0.

Advantages

  • high-quality image;
  • relatively powerful cameras;
  • two SIM cards;
  • LTE support;
  • GPS;
  • autonomy.

Flaws

  • intrusive and sometimes harmful pre-installed software in the first releases.

The best tablets under 5,000 rubles with 4G LTE support

An important element in a tablet for those who often move around the city is the presence of full support for a high-speed 4G LTE Internet connection. The fourth generation GSM network allows you to surf the Internet at speeds that are more associated with a wired stationary office or home connection. Some of the above models have 4G LTE support, and the Internet in them is quite functional. But in this rating category, our experts have selected models where exactly this function works best.

Digma Plane 1715T 4G

Rating: 4.7

The first number in this category of the ranking of the best tablets under 5,000 rubles according to Expertology is another model from the Digma brand (Hong Kong). This is a good tablet, even with quite wide capabilities, but a slightly lower screen resolution.

The screen size itself is quite decent, 10.1″ diagonally. Resolution - 1024x600. This is less than any of the models described above, but this difference is not so big and is not so noticeable. Moreover, in any case we have to put up with such compromises if we want to keep within 5 thousand rubles when purchasing. However, the matrix itself is of high quality, the technology is IPS, the viewing angles are wide, the touchscreen is responsive and smooth. The case is typical - plastic with a classic minimalist design.

The communication capabilities of the tablet include wireless modules Wi-Fi standard 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.0, as well as two slots for mobile SIM cards with support for 3G and LTE. Wired connection – via micro-USB with recharging capability. There is a GPS satellite navigation module.

The system was built on a Spreadtrum SC9832 central processor with 4 cores and a frequency of 1000 MHz. RAM is expected - 1GB, built-in is quite a lot - as much as 16GB. It can be expanded using external microSDXC cards, up to 64 GB. Operating system - Android 7.0.

The situation with cameras here is not as favorable as in the previous nomination, but this was not expected. Rear – 2Mpix, front – 0.3Mpix. The rear is complemented by an LED flash. There are speakers and 3.5 mm audio output.

The tablet is equipped with a fairly capacious 5000 mAh battery, which provides very good autonomy.

Advantages

  • large screen;
  • responsive touchscreen;
  • relatively large amount of built-in memory for this class;
  • powerful and stable 4G.

Flaws

  • Despite all the battery capacity, there are complaints about its insufficiency for comfortable work.

Irbis TZ969

Rating: 4.6

The second number in this rating category is another inexpensive model of the domestic brand Irbis TZ969. This model is already slightly more powerful than the previous one, with a higher resolution, but with a slightly smaller screen. The model was announced in 2021.

The screen size in this case is 9.6″, screen resolution is 1280×800, matrix type is IPS with wide viewing angles characteristic of this technology. Pixel density – 157 PPI. The screen is touch-sensitive, capacitive, with multi-touch support.

The wireless communication capabilities in this tablet are completely similar to the previous model - the same Wi-Fi 802.11n, the same Bluetooth 4.0, the same two slots for GSM SIM cards with support for 3G and LTE. There is also a GPS satellite positioning module with support for A-GPS “cold start”. Wired communication is exactly the same micro-USB connector. Unlike all of the above tablets, this model also has a mini HDMI connector, which in this context is a definite advantage.

The center of the system is a 4-core central processor Spreadtrum SC9832 with a core frequency of up to 1.3 GHz. Graphics subsystem - Mali-400 MP2. The RAM is set to a “living wage” of 1GB, the built-in memory is 16GB. There is a slot for microSDHC flash cards with a capacity of up to 32GB. Operating system - Android 7.0.

With multimedia, the situation is similar to the previous solution: rear camera (with flash) with a resolution of 2 megapixels, front - 0.3 megapixels. Speakers, microphone, 3.5 mm headset output, FM tuner.

The battery in this tablet is slightly weaker than the previous one - 4700 mAh, but there is practically no difference in battery life, since the screen diagonal is smaller, which means lower energy consumption.

Dimensions of the tablet - 226x161x10 mm, net weight - 460 g. The case is plastic, the design is ordinary.

Advantages

  • a high resolution;
  • high-quality image;
  • powerful GSM connection 4G LTE;
  • GPS support;
  • presence of a mini-HDMI port;
  • good autonomy.

Flaws

  • There are complaints about the quality of materials and workmanship.

Digma Optima 8019N 4G

Rating: 4.4

Completes the rating category of the best tablets under 5,000 rubles. with support for 4G LTE according to Expertology, another model from the Digma brand. This time it is a representative of the Optima series, model 8019N. The tablet was announced last 2021.

This is the most compact tablet of all those described in this category, but, nevertheless, it is quite comfortable to use. Diagonal size – 8″, resolution – 1280×800. Matrix type – IPS. The screen, like everything else, is widescreen, touch, multi-touch.

The communication potential here is the same as that of the two previous models - Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G, LTE. The center of electronics is the MediaTek MT8735 central processor on 4 Cortex-A53 computing cores with a frequency of up to 1.3 GHz. Manufactured using the 28 nm process technology. RAM is standard 1GB, but the built-in memory is half as much - 8GB. But you can expand it using an external microSDXC by as much as 128 GB, a record in this context. There is a GPS satellite communication module. Operating system - Android 7.0.

The rear camera here has a resolution of 2 megapixels with flash, the front one is 0.3 megapixels. Standard speakers and microphone.

Wired connections are almost the same as above - micro-USB for connecting to a computer and, optionally, to peripherals, as well as for recharging. Standard 3.5 mm audio output. The battery capacity is the most modest of the options listed above - 3400 mAh.

Advantages

  • powerful 4G module;
  • large capacity potential for using flash cards;
  • high screen resolution;
  • high quality image.

Flaws

  • the weakest battery in the group.

No. 6 – Prestigio Wize PMT3427C

Price: 3,630 rubles

Another 7-inch tablet has a processor running at 1.3 GHz, 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage. The gadget is controlled by the Android 7.0 operating system. Cell phone mode supported.

Although the price is low, the tablet works quite well. Of course, not without brakes, but stable operation is guaranteed. And this despite the fact that the Android 7.0 operating system is installed. There is enough RAM to open several tabs in the browser at once and switch between them. You can even watch videos on the Internet without any problems. The only drawback is that the processor gets hot under load.

The best tablets under 5,000 rubles from the most budget ones

The final nomination in the ranking of the best tablets under 5,000 rubles according to Expertology are the most budget tablets that look inexpensive compared to the already cheap others. You can buy such a tablet for a child without regret, knowing that pretty quickly the baby will turn it into small fragments. But if you take it for yourself, then such a device can be used for simple tasks - simple games, surfing the Internet, use as an e-book, etc. Our experts have selected two acceptable models on the market, both of them are from the domestic brand Irbis. Of course, you shouldn’t expect superpowers from them, but they are still capable of something.

Irbis HIT 8Gb (TZ49)

Rating: 4.7

First in the most budget category we will consider another model of the domestic brand Irbis. This is the most compact tablet of all listed, the average price of which in well-known Russian online stores does not exceed 1,700 rubles.

The 7″ screen diagonal makes this device a kind of “middle ground” between a smartphone and a tablet, however, such smartphones still do not exist. So it's a super-compact tablet. The screen resolution in this case also stands out compared to the above models - 1024x600 pixels. Pixel density - 170 PPI. All the other paraphernalia without which it is impossible to imagine a full-fledged gadget like this - a touchscreen, capacitive screen, glossy finish, standard protective film, multi-touch support - all this is fully present.

The electronic basis of the tablet is a MediaTek MT8312 processor with two Cortex-A7 cores with a frequency of up to 1.3 GHz each. The processor was manufactured using a 28nm process technology. Graphics subsystem - Mali-400 MP.

The RAM here is cut in half compared to any of the above models - 512 MB, with built-in memory more or less - 8 GB. Thanks to the slot for microSDHC cards, you can use external memory cards up to 32GB. The operating system here, of course, is quite ancient - Android 4.4.

Communications are almost completely the same as the previous model: Wi-Fi standard 802.11n, Bluetooth standard 4.0, 2 slots for GSM SIM cards from GSM900 to GPRS and 3G. 4G LTE standard is not supported.

The situation with the cameras is quite sad - both the rear and the front have a resolution of 0.3 megapixels each. Mono sound from the built-in speaker, there is a microphone and an FM tuner. Against the background of limited functionality, the GPS module with support for A-GPS cold start stands out clearly. Like all previous tablets, it supports automatic screen orientation, has an accelerometer, a wired connection via a micro-USB connector, and a standard 3.5 mm headset output.

The battery in this model is also the most modest compared to the others, but the size of the device naturally reduces energy requirements. Capacity - 2500 mAh. You can charge from USB.

Irbis TZ717

Rating: 4.6

And our rating review ends with another simple device from the Irbis brand. This tablet is in some places a little more powerful or a little weaker than the previous one, but in fact it’s more expensive, and now we’ll figure out exactly why. The tablet was announced in 2021.

The screen size here is the same as the model above - 7 inches, as well as the screen resolution - 1024x600 pixels. The screen is glossy with multi-touch support.

The electronic basis of the system is a 4-core central processor Spreadtrum SC7731G with a core frequency of up to 1.2 GB. GPU – Mali-400 MP. The RAM is twice as much as in the previous version - 1GB, the built-in memory is the same - 8GB. The slot for external memory cards accepts microSDHC cards up to 32GB.

Wireless Wi-Fi is of the same standard as in most of the tablets described above - 802.11n, but Bluetooth is of the old generation 2.1 EDR. There are two slots for mobile SIM cards with 3G support. The operating system is much newer than the previous one - Android 7.0. There is also a GPS positioning module with A-GPS support. Wired connection - micro-USB with optional peripheral connection and charging capability. There is a 3.5 mm audio output.

As for multimedia, there is only a 0.3 megapixel front camera, a built-in speaker, microphone and FM tuner. Supports automatic screen rotation and accelerometer.

The battery here is exactly the same as that of the tablet described above - with a capacity of 2500 mAh.

The budget Chinese 7-inch tablet TurboPad 723 is one of the best options for everyday use. Bright screen, resolution 1024x600, multi-touch up to 5 touches - there can be no questions about the display. A decent 2-megapixel main camera matrix will allow the user of the gadget to easily capture everything they need (at normal lighting levels). The tablet is convenient to use even for working in a taxi: a SIM card with 3G and GPS navigation function are ideal for this type of activity.

  • front camera 0.3 MP
  • battery 2500 mAh
  • Android OS 5.1
  • connecting devices via OTG cable

For its price, the device demonstrates excellent performance. The Intel Atom x3 C3230 processor with 4 cores and a frequency of 1200 MHz, combined with 1 GB of RAM, works perfectly with all applications that may be useful for work or study. In addition, the presence of 8 GB of built-in memory makes using the gadget even more convenient. In terms of price-quality ratio, the tablet will clearly be one of the best in 2021.
