Determining the ideal power for a blender

Blender or mixer? There is a difference

Firstly, there is a difference in the number of revolutions - a blender motor usually rotates very quickly, at up to 20,000 rpm, while a mixer motor usually rotates 10 times slower, “only” up to 2,000!

Secondly, the main blender attachments come with blades. The mixer has different types of whisks.

These two parameters affect what the blender and mixer can do. Looking ahead a little, I would like to note that there are stationary and submersible blenders. Below you will learn more about the differences between them.

Look at the table, it shows all the basic kitchen tasks that a blender and mixer can handle.

It turns out that the main task of a blender is to chop and mix. And in the mixer - beat and knead.

Now you can evaluate whether a blender is needed in your kitchen. If you need it, then let's select for you the model that suits best
