3. Boiled rice (and other cereals). I came up with this recipe myself, through trial and error.

Pour 1-1.5 cups of washed rice 2 cm higher with water. Salt and add a piece of butter. Cook for 3-5 minutes at full power (600-850 W) and 10 minutes at low simmer (approximately 400 W). Let sit for a while under the lid. The result is fluffy rice. We prepare buckwheat, wheat, barley and other solid cereals, as well as pasta, in the same way.

4. Millet porridge.

Rinse millet (1 cup) several times in cold water and once in hot water. Pour water (2.5 cups) and cook for 3 minutes under the lid at full power (600 W), and another 5 minutes at 420 W. Then drain the water if there is any left and add milk (2 cups) and salt. Add oil and cook covered for another 4 minutes. Let stand covered for 5-6 minutes. It turns out more tender than on the stove.

M.b. Rolled oats should be prepared something similar. Bring the flakes with water to a boil by 100% and simmer by 40%. But my porridge comes out of the glass saucepan at the end of cooking; I haven’t decided on the time yet. But the taste is excellent.

This will not only extend the life of this utensil, but also make the dish more juicy. This is especially true for cooking meat.

Ceramic cookware should not be placed in a hot oven. Temperature changes can cause it to crack and even burst. The principle of use is almost the same as the glass form. That is, place the ceramic mold only in a cold or slightly heated oven. Moreover, first place the dishes on a slightly warm baking sheet, and then put everything together in the oven. Close the door, set the desired temperature and time, and you can go about your business.

Rule 3.

Remove hot ceramic dishes (pots or baking dishes) only with dry oven mitts and place them on a dry wooden surface. Or line a metal stand with a towel folded several times.
