We know Xiaomi not only for their smartphones, but also for the huge number of household appliances that they produce. Today we decided to put together for you a small guide on robot vacuum cleaners from Xiaomi and all its sub-brands that are presented in our store. They differ in different parameters: the presence and absence of a wet cleaning function, different power and tank volume, and much more. Let's look at each model together.
Let's divide vacuum cleaners into two groups: with and without wet cleaning function. First, let's look at devices that do not receive this function.
Robot vacuum cleaner Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum Cleaner
Characteristics of the Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum Cleaner robot vacuum cleaner
- Suction power 1800 Pa
- Three cleaning intensity modes

- Automatic return to base
This vacuum cleaner is good for cleaning non-carpeted floors.
It will find and sweep away dirt even from the most inaccessible places thanks to sensors, special brushes and the pressure that the vacuum cleaner fan creates, blowing out dust and small debris. The gadget also cleans dirt well from small cracks in the floor. The robot is equipped with twelve sensors that help it map, navigate in space, avoid obstacles and prevent its own falls if, for example, it has driven up to the edge of the stairs. The vacuum cleaner explores the space and builds a route. First, he will clean around the perimeter of the area allocated to him, and then begin zigzag movements for better effect. You can configure the vacuum cleaner and monitor its status through the Mi Home application. Set the time, intensity and cleaning zones as convenient for you. And if you need to further delimit the space so that the vacuum cleaner does not go into any specific areas, additionally purchase magnetic tape and place it around the perimeter of this area. The vacuum cleaner will notice this and understand that it is not allowed into that part of the room. Its battery will last for two and a half hours, but if there is not enough charge during cleaning, the vacuum cleaner will automatically go to the docking station to recharge.

This is an improved version of the previous vacuum cleaner. This model has increased dirt suction power - 2000 Pa instead of 1800 Pa. At the same time, the processor of this gadget consumes 10% less energy, and its performance is 40% higher than that of the previous generation of vacuum cleaners. Twelve sensors help the device navigate in space, build maps and routes, avoid obstacles along the way and find dirt even in the narrowest crevices and under baseboards. The vacuum cleaner can be controlled not only using the Mi Home application on your smartphone - the gadget can also connect to Yandex Station and work under the control of Alice. And you can determine the zones, time and intensity of cleaning. The battery capacity is 5200 mAh, the vacuum cleaner will work on one charge for two and a half hours. This is enough for a full cleaning. But if during cleaning the battery charge drops below 20%, the gadget will go to the docking station on its own, and after recharging it will continue cleaning from where it left off. At the end of the work, the vacuum cleaner goes to the base itself.

Xiaomi Xiaowa Robot Vacuum Cleaner Lite
Characteristics of the Xiaomi Xiaowa Robot Vacuum Cleaner Lite robot vacuum cleaner
- Suction power 1600 Pa
- Dust container volume 640 ml
- 10 sensors for orientation in space
- Route planning and indoor orientation
- Built-in anti-jam and anti-tangle system
- Control via Mi Home app
- Battery capacity 2600 mAh
- One hour battery life
- Automatically goes to recharge
The word Lite at the end already hints to us that this is a simplified version of the vacuum cleaner.
It has slightly less suction power, the battery capacity is half the size, and there are only 10 sensors, not 12, but this vacuum cleaner also copes with its functions. And his garbage container is one and a half times larger. The vacuum cleaner independently builds a map of the room and its route, notices and avoids not only pieces of furniture - it remembers places where it can get stuck or has already gotten stuck, and does not go there; notices cords on the floor and does not wind them around his brushes if he passes nearby. If you need to clearly divide the room into zones and separate those places where the vacuum cleaner is not allowed, additionally purchase magnetic tape, as was the case with the first vacuum cleaner. The maximum power of the vacuum cleaner is 1600 Pa, and if the gadget gets on the carpet, this power is automatically activated. As soon as the vacuum cleaner returns to the floor, the power becomes the same. One full charge of the vacuum cleaner is enough for one hour of cleaning. He monitors his own charge, and if the battery is not enough, he will return to the station. Let's move on to vacuum cleaners that support the wet cleaning function.
Xiaomi Mijia Robot Vacuum Cleaner Sweeping Vacuum Cleaner 1C
Characteristics of the Xiaomi Mijia Sweeping Vacuum Cleaner 1C robot vacuum cleaner
- Suction power 2500 Pa

- Dust container capacity 600 ml
- 15 sensors around the perimeter of the case
- Viewing angle 166⁰
- Smart water tank 200 ml
- Battery capacity 2400 mAh
- Up to 90 minutes of run time on a single charge
This vacuum cleaner will be more powerful than the previous ones, its suction power is 2500 Pa. It works in 4 power modes and copes well with dirt on carpets. The device independently creates a cleaning route and a map of the room thanks to 15 sensors around the perimeter of the body. He orients himself well in space, determines his own position and avoids obstacles. The dust collector does not need to be cleaned after each cleaning - its volume is enough for 1-3 cleanings, depending on the degree of contamination. In addition, the vacuum cleaner received a 200 ml water tank. Water will automatically flow onto the cloth during cleaning. At the same time, the gadget will ensure that there is moisture in the right amount, and the vacuum cleaner does not leave behind streaks and puddles. The battery here is not as large as in previous models, but it will last for an hour and a half of dry cleaning and 40-50 minutes of wet cleaning. The vacuum cleaner will automatically go to recharge at the end of cleaning.
“Battle” of budget robot vacuum cleaners: Xiaomi Mijia 1C vs Roborock E4. Which to choose?
Released in 2021, the Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop skv4093gl (or Mijia 1C) quickly gained popularity as a robot with mapping, a turbo brush and an attractive price tag. But less than a year later, Roborock E4 enters the market with a similar design, functionality and the same cost within the range of 15-20 thousand rubles. In fact, these are similar models, only assembled at different factories, and produced under different brands: Roborock is a subsidiary of Xiaomi with a product line aimed at the premium segment.
Further in the article we will figure out how these models differ, and which one, in my opinion, should be preferred.
Equipment
One of the explanations why Mijia and Roborock have such an affordable price tag is their minimal equipment. In the Mijia 1C box, in addition to the vacuum cleaner itself, we find a docking station, a power cord, a mop, one reusable cloth and a brush for servicing accessories. Xiaomi decided to save money on the spare end brush, despite its quickly wearing design. Things are better with Roborock E4. The manufacturer rightly decided that each user could replace the maintenance brush with ordinary scissors and a brush, so instead he put something more important in the box:
- silicone backing – protects the floor from leakage during charging (this thing will be appreciated by owners of laminate and parquet);
- backup nozzles – when using tap water, the main nozzles become clogged with deposits over time and stop functioning normally.
All other things being equal, the advantage is on the side of Roborock E4. Its components are much more useful.
Equipment.
Left 1C, right E4 Design
The appearance of the robots once again reminds us that Roborock is a division of Xiaomi. Both robots are made in the manufacturer’s traditional style: round body, laconic design, all elements have a strictly utilitarian purpose. And yet Roborock looks more advantageous! Firstly, the glossy inserts contrast well on the black plastic (the main part of the body is made of matte plastic, on which dust accumulations are invisible); secondly, the quality of the plastic itself is noticeably higher - it is more pleasant to the touch, does not emit any odor and gives the impression of reliability.
The second difference is the dimensions. With the same diameter (350 mm), the height of the Roborock E4 case is slightly larger and is 90 mm (for Mijia 1C it is 82 mm). The difference arises from a washer mounted on the bumper with an optical sensor, with which the robot searches for a charging station. This engineering solution can be considered controversial: on the one hand, it is a plus for navigation, on the other, a minus for maneuverability.
The third, and more serious difference is the auxiliary brushes. Mijia 1C has an old-style end brush: long brushes with soft hairs emerge from three silicone leads. The main disadvantage of this design is the rapid wear of the brushes. After only 2-3 cleaning cycles, soft hairs begin to stick out in different directions, and after 6-12 months this brush becomes unusable and needs to be replaced. On the Roborock E4, the manufacturer supplied a high-tech brush, the same one used on the flagship Roborock S5Max and S6MaxV. This brush is made entirely of silicone, including the forked whisks, and has five brushes rather than three. Its reliability and operating efficiency are much higher. Plus, it can operate at two speeds, depending on how dirty the room is.
Therefore, despite its lower cross-country ability, the Roborock E4 is clearly better designed than its competitor.
Appearance.
On the left is 1C, on the right is E4 Cleaning quality
Both robots do an excellent job of their duties: first they drive around the perimeter, then they process the room in zigzags and at the end they walk along the edge again.
The cleaning mechanics themselves are also the same: the end brush throws debris under the suction socket, the turbo brush collects hair from carpets, and the motor draws all this debris into the dust collector. The quality indicators of both models are identical. Robots collect up to 99% of waste on smooth surfaces and up to 96% on fleecy surfaces. In terms of cleaning speed, Mijia 1C is slightly ahead of its rival - 0.94 sq.m/min versus 0.87 sq.m/min. But Roborock E4, thanks to a more effective end brush, cleans better in corners. Therefore, in terms of the quality of cleaning, we can safely put an equal sign between the robots under consideration. Technical Specifications
In technical aspects, Roborock and Mijia have two important differences:
- The Mijia 1C battery hatch contains an obsolete battery with a capacity of 2400 mAh. Its charge lasts for 1.5 hours of operation with minimal suction power. Roborock E4 is equipped with a flagship 5200 mAh lithium-ion battery, which is enough for 200 minutes of battery life.
- Xiaomi indicates that the suction power of their robot reaches 2500 Pa, although tests indicate that the motor of the Mijia 1C is exactly the same as that of the Roborock E4 - up to 2000 Pa. At the same time, due to the well-thought-out noise insulation of the case, Roborock is much quieter - a maximum of 60 dB (for Mijia 1C - 72 dB).
There are also slight differences in the capacity of the tanks: the Mijia mop can be filled with 20 ml more water (200 ml versus 180 ml), and the Roborock dust collector can hold 6% more debris (640 ml versus 600 ml).
Due to the insignificant difference, these factors can be ignored. Otherwise, Roborock confidently gets the third point - so far 3:0 in its favor. Navigation
The navigation system of Mijia 1C is more complex: the robot identifies furniture and the outlines of walls with a video camera, and then, using a gyroscope, completes a map of the room, and does this directly during the cleaning process (SLAM algorithm). On the compiled map, the user can set virtual boundaries in the form of a line or rectangle.
The Roborock E4 has a gyroscope as its main navigation tool, complemented by a laser sensor under the bottom.
Such a system allows the robot to plan a route and build a map of the room, but it does not support interactive interaction. You can limit the area of movement of the vacuum cleaner using magnetic tape, which must be purchased separately. For the first time, the advantage is on the side of Mijia 1C – the current score is 3:1. Functions
In terms of the set of functions, the robots are as similar as possible: both clean carpets, wipe floors with a napkin and support control from a smartphone. Through the mobile application, you can adjust engine speed, create a work schedule for the week ahead, and view information about the status of accessories.
The difference between the models is as follows:
- In the Mijia 1C application, you can set the level of wetting of the napkin, but with the Roborock E4 this task can only be solved by adjusting the mechanical dispensers on the washing mop.
- The manufacturer has integrated an air flow density sensor into the Roborock E4 air duct, thanks to which the robot recognizes carpets and automatically increases the suction force on them (carpet boost). This saves the user from the management routine - just turn on the robot, and it will figure out where to work in economy mode and where to activate turbo.
According to the last comparison criterion, it is impossible to single out one of the models - both the wetting control and the carpet boost function are equally significant. Thus, the final score freezes at 3:1 in favor of Roborock E4. This robot is manufactured in the same factory as Roborock's flagship models, which has a positive impact on its build quality and materials. The design, equipment and technical characteristics of Roborock E4 are also better. Therefore, when choosing between it and the Mijia 1C, which is similar in functionality, preference should be given to a more modern and technically advanced model: Roborock E4.
How much do they cost and where to buy?
The price of Roborock E4 in the lamobile online store is 17,000 rubles
The lowest price of mijia 1C on Aliexpress is 16,000 rubles and the highest in m.video is 21,000 rubles
